Regular technical support at PIT-IX is provided on an office hours basis from 9AM to 5PM EST, Monday through Friday. The normal communications channel for technical support is email to firstname.lastname@example.org or the PIT-IX Slack channel. PIT-IX operations staff are also available by telephone via the TeraSwitch engineering team at +1-412-945-7045.
Emergency 24x7x365 Support
An 24-hour support hotline is available by TeraSwitch at +1-412-945-7045 for emergency
calls which fall outside normal office hours. This support facility is intended for emergencies
only such as PIT-IX critical system failures causing loss of service to members.
Even if calling, please be sure to also email email@example.com.
PIT-IX should only be contacted on an emergency basis for a port-down event, or loss of both route servers. We do not provide emergency support for peer route availability, direct peer sessions, or other peering related issues (except for the official PIT-IX route servers.)
